New Tabber is a Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page. This policy explains what data the extension touches and how it is handled.
What We Store
New Tabber stores the following data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local:
- Your tile shortcuts (title, URL, icon)
- Folder names and contents
- Dock shortcuts
- Settings: theme, wallpaper, accent color, layout preferences, language
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to any server.
What We Don't Do
- We do not collect personal information
- We do not use analytics or tracking scripts
- We do not serve ads
- We do not share data with third parties
- We do not require an account
Permissions Used
- storage — saves your tiles, folders, and settings locally in the browser.
- search — redirects queries typed in the search bar to your browser's default search engine.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
